BT Home Hub 2.0, Hub 3 or Hub 4 with PTCL EVO

Why is there a USB port on the back of my BT Home Hub 2.0, Hub 3 or Hub 4?

The USB port is there for the products and services we might release in the future.

You may not use this port to connect to the Internet. Both the BT Home Hub 2.0 Hub Hub 3 and 4 only offer Internet access via cable or wireless Ethernet.

However, the Axis 3 and Axis 4 support the use of USB connection for connecting USB storage devices. (The Hub 2.0 provides limited support for this as well.) Posted by: Logo Design Compainy

The BT Home Hub 3 supports USB memory drives connected to the socket on the back of the hub. You can view the files stored on the drive of your computer.

Connect the USB drive to the USB port on the back of the shaft 3. If you have a Windows PC, there may be a delay of up to 15 minutes for the computer detects the drive on the network folder. So do not worry if you do not see it immediately.

If you have Windows Vista

Open Windows Explorer and click Network> BTHUB3 followed USB_Disk or USB2.
The USB drive should be visible.

In Windows XP

Open Windows Explorer and click on My Network Places> Entire Network> Microsoft Windows Network> Home> BTHUB3 followed USB_Disk or USB2.

The USB drive will be visible.

To disconnect the unit to open the hub in http://bthomehub.home Manager click Disconnect and safely on my home network, USB line.

If you are a PC user with more experience, another way to see the USB drive is clicking Start / Run and type in \ \ 192.168.1.254 or file :/ / 192.168.1.254
